- Obsessed with design? Absolutely. I thrive on calling out "Good UX" and "Bad UX" in everything, from MacBook chargers to the design of a small cat food can. I see design even in the philosophy of Assassin's Creed—its subjectivism teaches how designers should avoid bias.
- An Entrepreneur: I co-own CatSpace Boarding, a cat boarding business, and run my NGO, Ferocious Felix Foundation where I fulfill my purpose of rescuing animals. I also happen to be a mom to 8 cats and 2 dogs (all rescues)! Balancing all of this has taught me grit, resourcefulness, and empathy—values I carry into every design challenge.
- A coder turned designer
I’d always been deeply passionate about coding—it was my childhood dream, and I worked tirelessly to make it a reality. I pursued engineering, became a full-stack developer, and yet, something wasn’t clicking. It was a huge shock when I realised that the career I’d worked for wasn’t the right fit (which happened after engineering and working 1.5 years as a developer).
Even though my opinions on product design were always valued, I just did not know.
However, design found me, and it was like stepping into an entirely new world!
I took a leap of faith, let go of my well-planned life, and embraced design. Hustling, in my opinion is about taking bold steps to follow where your passion truly lies, which I did.
I would really like to become a good designer! This is a new life I have found, and I would like to work hard everyday to deserve it.
- A lover of designs that create an impact
Like Decathlon’s Ability Icons.
My personal projects often focus on social good, and I bring the same enthusiasm to any role I take on :
Saahas, an app for women with PCOS — this project took me all the way to the final auditions of Shark Tank India, 2022
Piku, a rescue app for streeties — that I plan on building someday
Gamified — to show an academic side of video games and prove that they are not just for entertainment
